42. Doom (Computer)

In case you lived under a bridge in the early to mid 90’s, Doom is a first person shooter where you shoot demons. Sounds straightforward enough, but it was the first of its kind and the gameplay, while very simple (you can’t aim up or down), is endlessly gratifying. Killing demons is just fun, and the original Doom is the definitive way to do it. You can’t help but just cackle maniacally when you incinerate foes with the BFG. Also, the final boss, the towering Spider Mastermind, will keep you awake at night.
