48. Resident Evil 2 (N64)

In my mind, Resident Evil 2 was the quintessential 32/64 bit horror experience. It was edgy, foreboding, and the N64 version included every feature of the PS1 original... but without load times. Unlike the first game, you’re not confined to one building, as the whole city is your undead playground. From the barricaded police station to Umbrella’s hidden laboratory, there were plenty of pre-rendered perils to get into. RE2 also has two entirely different storylines, which dramatically extends its replay value. The voice acting also deserves a mention. Seeing as how Capcom was in largely uncharted waters, they actually did a pretty bang up job. Also, can I just say, William Birkin needs to stay dead.
